What is Word Tiles?

Word Tiles is a crossword puzzle made of letter pieces. Solve the clues and fit all the pieces onto the board so that every word reads correctly.

Is Word Tiles free?

Yes. All 271 levels are free to play in your browser. There is no account, subscription or app download required.

How do I move a tile?

Select a tile, then tap the board square where its marked letter should go. On a computer, you can also drag a tile onto that square. Select a placed tile to move it or return it to the tray.

Can I rotate the pieces?

Normal uses fixed orientations. Hard and Ultra allow you to rotate pieces clockwise. Tiles cannot be flipped.

Will my progress be saved?

Completed levels and current board placements are saved in this browser on this device. Clearing site data, using another device or private browsing may remove or separate that progress.

Are these daily puzzles?

No. These are numbered levels that you can play at your own pace. The first 10 levels of each difficulty are open. Complete level 10 to unlock 11, then continue in order. Each difficulty saves its own progress.
